PATH Wisconsin, Inc.  was legally incorporated as a non-profit agency under its parent corporation, PATH Inc. in 2002. PATH Wisconsin has pioneered the treatment foster care concept in Wisconsin, developed adoption services and has built a reputation for quality and leadership in the foster care field. PATH Wisconsin has offices in Eau Claire, Ellsworth, Hudson, La Crosse and Madison.

PATH Wisconsin’s primary service is treatment foster care which serves children with special mental health, behavioral and medical needs which cannot be met by regular, county-based foster care programs. PATH Wisconsin also offers other family services. There are: adoption, a monitoring program for families to prevent out of home placement, parent support services, family mentoring and shelter care.

This past fiscal year, PATH Wisconsin served 724 children in foster care and 192 families through our family services. Of the youth placed in foster care, 78% had successful discharges. This means they were either placed in a less restrictive environment such as returning to home, being adopted or going to another foster home. Demand for family preservation and reunification services increased by 400%. Demand for all of PATH Wisconsin’s family services increased showing a strong desire to prevent out of home placements.
