Therapeutic In-Home Services

The Wisconsin In-Home Therapy Program is an intensive therapeutic service designed to create lasting change in both the identified client and their families.  As the name implies, sessions occur in the homes of families, not in an office setting.  This facet alone gives the PATH therapist a more realistic idea of what life is like for the entire family.  In most cases the family is engaged in conversations, experiential practices, and the creation of family specific solutions.  PATH In-Home staff prides themselves on being strength-based, nurturing, and practical in their approaches.  The goal is often family reunification or keeping a fragile family intact.

PATH therapists are master’s level practioneers with 3,000 hours of supervision usually with years of prior experience in the mental health fields. Referrals come from a number of counties in Wisconsin.  The In-Home team is collaborative, innovative, culturally/gender aware, and always seeks to empower families as quickly as possible.  The PATH Parent Support staff often work in tandem with the therapists.  Treatment plans, consultations, assessments, teaming, and family group conferencing are a few of the everyday tasks In-Home therapists provide.  Statistical data and the comments of Health and Human Service Directors support the effectiveness of the PATH In-Home Program.
