Welcome to our PATH website.
We are pleased to have your interest and hope you find our site informative and helpful. In 2014, PATH served nearly 1500 children and their families in North Dakota, Minnesota and Idaho. PATH services help children and families that have experienced complex trauma, family struggles and serious behavioral health problems. Most of those served come to PATH from, or as an alternative to higher levels of care, and need PATH’s Behavioral Health and Family services to improve their situation, mediate family disruption and resolve safety, well-being and permanency challenges.
PATH is a national leader in utilizing treatment families to mitigate emotional and behavioral needs and difficulties that have historically been served in more restrictive residential and institutional settings. Approximately 78% of children served by PATH return to less restrictive environments, typically their family home. Our core treatment services are enhanced through evidence-based practices and accredited by the national Council on Accreditation (COA). PATH conducts the highest levels of training for professionals, foster parents, families, and child and family team members. PATH actively practices high-fidelity Wrap Around services with family therapy, adoption, independent living and numerous other supportive services.
PATH has nearly 1,000 staff and treatment foster parents dedicated to our mission “Families Making the Difference”. The PATH Board of Directors supports this agency’s work through strategic initiatives and strong leadership that values the best in service delivery. In this website we have tried to express our deep and constant dedication to the children and families we serve. We also hope you take the time to check out our blogs, social media sites and other resources so that stimulus that led you to our site, rewards you with a desire or new idea on how to help others.
Very Truly Yours,
William A. Metcalfe, Ph.D, LICSW
