Whole Family Placement

Whole Family placements involve the parent and their child being in the same PATH Treatment Foster Home. The service is generally short term and is intended to provide assistance to young parents who need significant support while developing their parenting skills.

PATH Treatment Foster Parents provide nurturance and guidance to the young parent. At the same time they provide a stable nurturing environment for the parent’s child. The PATH social worker assists with coordination and planning and helps the young parent to prepare for their next step towards independence.

PATH will consider placements involving parents who are adults (over age 18) as well as those who are under age 18.  Referrals for whole family placements are handled the same as referrals for treatment foster care and adoption.
