Intensive Treatment Foster Care

PATH’s Intensive Treatment Foster Care has many of the same elements of regular treatment foster care that utilizes an increased level of intensity.  This model of care is an alternative to residential care.   It is intended to address the needs of children and youth who have serious levels of emotional, behavioral and medical problems or who require a high level of supervision.

PATH’s Intensive Treatment Foster Care Program is oriented to the individual needs of each child. Therefore, the specific components may vary. PATH’s Intensive Treatment Foster Care Program includes more frequent treatment team meetings, crisis planning, intensified case management services, increased frequency of contacts by PATH Social Worker, increased levels of documentation, enhanced respite care plans and intense levels of individualized supports created to maintain the youth in the community.
